Journeyman Leatherworking
Visit your trainer and learn Journeyman Leatherworking. (Requires level 10)

50x Embossed Leather Gloves - 150 Light Leather, 100 Coarse Thread

25x Fine Leather Belt - 150 Light Leather, 50 Coarse Thread
Check the Auction house and when 1x Medium Hide cost less than 4x Medium Leather then buy as much as 25 of these. Don't buy a lot more than 25, and do not buy them if they're expensive.
Make as numerous Cured Medium Hide as possible.
Keep both the Fine Leather Belt and also the Cured Medium Hide since you can make Dark Leather Belt together.

20x Dark Leather Boots - 80 Medium Leather, 40 Fine Thread, 20 Gray Dye
Alternative recipe
If you've made Cured Medium Hide, make as numerous Dark Leather Belt as possible instead from the boots. (you need to stop which makes them at 150)
