 Before each round, you place a bet. While the astronaut is flying, the multiplication factor is growing. The longer an astronaut flies, the the coefficient is growing faster. If you managed to fix the coefficient before the cosmonaut crashed, then your bet before the round will be multiplied by this coefficient. The resulting amount will be your winnings.

 There are quite a lot of strategies. There are those in which you need to rely on your luck, there are those in which there is a mathematical calculation, and there is even a win-win strategy.
